Car Plunges Off Cliff Near Limassol — Elderly Woman Hospitalized
A serious accident took place in a village near Limassol after a car plunged off a 12-meter cliff. The driver, a 65-year-old woman, was trapped in the wreckage and later taken to hospital for treatment.
According to police, the crash occurred the previous evening. The woman, a resident of Kaminaria in the Limassol district, was driving along a rural road when she lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road and fell into a ravine approximately 12 meters deep, crashing into a tree before coming to a stop.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene, including officers from the Pedoulas and Kampos police stations, firefighters, and an ambulance crew.
After being freed from the wreckage by firefighters, the woman was transported by ambulance to Limassol General Hospital for a medical examination.
