Teenagers threw stones at police officers in Nicosia
In Nicosia, teenagers threw stones at police officers who arrived at a call.
The incident occurred in the Latsia area, where law enforcement officers were responding to a report of garbage bins being set on fire. When the police arrived at the scene, a group of young people began throwing stones at the patrol.
As a result of the attack, the window of a police car was damaged.
According to the police, around 06:00 AM, during a check of a group of young people in the Strovolos area, a 16-year-old teenager was detained. He is suspected of disturbing public order, causing a disturbance, and resisting arrest.
The investigation is ongoing.
