Two Men Arrested in Limassol for Drugs and Weapons Possession
Police in Limassol have arrested two men after finding a substantial quantity of drugs, a firearm, and ammunition in their possession.
According to the police press office, the suspects—aged 36 and 27—were stopped for a routine check in one of Limassol’s districts. During a personal search, officers found a grinder containing cannabis residue on the 27-year-old. A second grinder with drug traces was also discovered during a search of their vehicle.
Following the initial stop, a more thorough investigation led police to uncover two nylon bags containing around half a kilogram of cannabis, a firearm, 92 bullets, five grams of cannabis resin, three grams of cocaine, electronic scales with drug traces, and a factory-made firecracker.
Both men were arrested and taken into custody for further questioning. The case is being investigated by Limassol’s Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN).
