Paphos Police Conducted a Raid: Four People Arrested, Large Sums of Cash Seized
As part of crime prevention and control measures, Paphos police conducted an inspection of one of the establishments during the evening hours.
During the raid, 65 people present in the premises were checked. In the course of the operation, police officers arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of illegal possession of property and a bladed weapon. A brass knuckle and €3,000 in cash, the origin of which he could not explain, were found and seized from him.
Additionally, three more individuals aged 45, 29, and 30 were arrested. Large sums of money were also seized from them, the origin of which could not be verified:
- 45-year-old — €3,000,
- 29-year-old — €5,000,
- 30-year-old — €12,810.
During document verification, it was found that the establishment operated without the necessary licenses — for business operations, alcohol sales, and music broadcasting. Accordingly, the 63-year-old owner of the establishment was held administratively accountable.
The police continue the investigation.
