Police intensified night checks across all regions of Cyprus

Last night, police carried out intensive checks and increased their presence at key points in urban areas across all districts of the country. The measures were part of targeted preventive actions aimed at preventing serious crime, protecting citizens and maintaining public order.
During the night checks, officers of the Cyprus Police detained one driver for significant speeding.
The violation was recorded by members of the Road Accident Prevention Unit on a motorway, where the vehicle was travelling at a speed of 187 km/h, far exceeding the permitted limit.
Police emphasize that such preventive operations will continue.
