President of Cyprus to Visit Poland

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will embark on an official visit to Poland on Wednesday to meet with the country's political leadership.

Accompanying him on the trip will be Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Rauna, Deputy Government Spokesperson, Yannis Antoniou, and other officials.

On Thursday, the Cypriot leader, accompanied by his wife, will attend a welcome reception at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw, marking the beginning of the two-day visit.

Following the reception, there will be a private meeting with Polish President Andrzej Duda, which will run concurrently with expanded negotiations between the delegations of both countries.

Subsequently, the two nations will sign a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of sports. Later, Nikos Christodoulides will visit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, where he will lay a wreath.

This will be followed by a working lunch with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and in the afternoon, a meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament, Szymon Hołownia. In the evening, the President of Cyprus, along with his wife and delegation members, will attend an official dinner hosted by the President of Poland.

On Friday, the Cypriot leader will travel to Krakow to visit Jagiellonian University, where he will meet with the rector, interact with students, and take a tour of the university museum.

Later, the president and his entourage will explore the historic city center and visit Wawel Castle, followed by a working lunch with the Governor of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship.

After concluding the official engagements in Poland on Friday, Nikos Christodoulides will return to the island.
