Water Levels in Paphos Reservoirs Remain Low Despite Rain
Water levels in the Paphos region reservoirs remain at around 23% and have not changed significantly despite recent rainfall.
According to the Water Development Department, the water inflow continues, but the final results can only be assessed after the current rainy period ends.
Meanwhile, two small irrigation reservoirs—Pomos and Argaka—overflowed following heavy rains. Both are primarily used for agriculture.
The Xeros River has also increased the water inflow into the region's largest reservoir, Asprokremmos.
Authorities note that the water supply situation remains controlled. Simultaneously, measures are being developed to reduce water loss and increase responsibility for its consumption.
