Ukrainian Woman Killed in Limassol Accident
A fatal accident has occurred in the Republic of Cyprus, resulting in the death of a Ukrainian woman on the Limassol-Platres road.
According to the police, the tragedy happened around 3:00 PM near Alassa. Preliminary reports indicate that the 47-year-old woman lost control of her vehicle and veered off the road at high speed. The car crashed into a metal barrier and overturned into a ditch.
Emergency services, including police, firefighters, and an ambulance, arrived at the scene. The woman was taken to Limassol General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The deceased has been identified as 47-year-old Maria Pasternak, a Cypriot citizen of Ukrainian origin. It was confirmed that she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident, including whether speeding was a factor.
