Wanted Criminal Arrested at Larnaca Airport
A man wanted by Spanish authorities was arrested last night at Larnaca Airport. Extradition proceedings have already begun.
According to a statement from the police press office, the 52-year-old suspect was apprehended during a passport check upon his arrival in Cyprus. A European arrest warrant had been issued for him.
He is reportedly suspected of burglary and theft from a residential property, committed between 2003 and 2005.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Larnaca District Court on Friday, where the formal extradition process to Spain will begin. The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department is continuing the investigation.
