Larnaca Airport Sees Dozens of Flight Cancellations Amid Regional Tensions
The escalation in the Middle East continues to impact Cypriot airports. According to Hermes Airports, 26 arriving and 25 departing flights have been cancelled at Larnaca Airport on Tuesday, March 3, between 7:00 AM and midnight.
The disruption primarily affects routes to Israel and the Gulf, but since Monday, cancellations have spread to European hubs in Germany, the UK, and Austria. Airlines such as Lufthansa, British Airways, and easyJet have adjusted schedules due to regional airspace restrictions. Some carriers have suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Beirut until March 8–9. Passengers are urged to check their flight status with airlines before heading to the airport.
