Easter celebrations with games and a concert to be held in Akaki village, Cyprus

Traditional Easter celebrations organized by the Akaki Development Society "O Serrachis" will take place in the village of Akaki on April 12 and 13.

The events will be held at the village's central square on Easter Sunday and Monday. Guests can expect a rich program featuring traditional Cypriot games, competitions, sports events, and musical performances.

On Sunday, the program begins at 16:00. Participants can take part in various folk games, including egg races, sack races, tug-of-war, and other traditional entertainment. Special challenges and game competitions will also be prepared for children.

On Monday, sports activities are planned, including a village run, distances for adults and children, as well as various contests and activities for all ages.

Throughout the two days, dance groups will perform at the festival, and the events will conclude with musical programs and DJ sets.

Organizers note that the main goal of the holiday is to preserve Cypriot traditions and introduce the younger generation to the region's cultural heritage. During the events, stalls with food, sweets, and drinks will also be operating.
