Man Drowns While Swimming in Larnaca
A 35-year-old man drowned while swimming in the sea in Larnaca. The identity of the deceased has already been established.
According to the police, a report about the missing man, who went swimming in the sea near the Mazotos community, was received yesterday at around 8:20 PM.
Immediately after the distress call, the authorities were mobilized. At around 9:40 PM, the missing person was found unconscious, floating in the sea approximately one and a half kilometers from where he was last seen.
The 35-year-old man was taken to the hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. The deceased has been identified as a Greek Cypriot named Michael Sylvester. The exact cause of his death will be determined by an autopsy.
