In Larnaca, unknown individuals shot kittens with pneumatic weapons

In the Livadia area near Larnaca, unknown individuals shot newborn kittens with pneumatic weapons. The incident caused a wide resonance among local residents.
A resident of the area filed a complaint with the Oroklini police. According to her, in recent weeks, residents noticed limping kittens in the park but could not catch them.
The day before, one of the kittens was caught, after which it turned out that the animal was wounded in the paw — presumably after being shot from a pneumatic weapon.
Police officers arrived at the scene, and an investigation has begun. The incident was also reported to the Deputy Mayor of Livadia.
Local residents said they regularly feed the kittens and care for animals in the area. According to them, cases of animal cruelty in Larnaca have recently become more frequent.
