Three arrested in Larnaca in drug case: over 1.5 kg of cannabis seized
Officers of the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) arrested two 21-year-old men and a 45-year-old woman during a targeted operation related to illegal drug trafficking.
As part of the investigation, and based on a court warrant, a search was carried out of a car belonging to the 45-year-old woman, parked near her home in Larnaca. Inside the vehicle, police found two nylon packages containing cannabis with a total weight of approximately 1 kg 107 g.
Police then searched the house where the woman lives together with one of the 21-year-old suspects. In various rooms, packages of cannabis with a total weight of about 414 g were found, along with a box containing 14 g of cannabis and precision scales believed to have been used for packaging.
In addition, two packages of cannabis weighing approximately 60 g were found in a rubbish container near the house. According to police, these packages had been discarded earlier by the second 21-year-old suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
