Mummified Body Found in Forest Near Ayia Napa
Police in the Famagusta Free Zone have been alerted after a mummified body was discovered in a forested area near Ayia Napa.
The body, which has been identified as male, was found around 10:30 a.m. in an advanced state of mummification. The exact circumstances of how the body came to be in this condition are currently under investigation by the Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department.
Law enforcement has secured the area, and coroners have arrived to perform an autopsy. The investigation into the discovery of the body is ongoing.
