In Limassol, a drunk driver hit a woman

A serious accident occurred in Limassol on Sunday afternoon, December 21: a 49-year-old driver hit a 47-year-old woman who was crossing the road together with two other people. The accident happened around 15:00 on Misiaouli and Kavazoglou Street.
The injured woman was taken to a private clinic. According to preliminary medical reports, she sustained serious injuries, including broken ribs, and was kept in hospital.
The driver was tested for alcohol: the result showed 93 mg% with a permissible limit of 22 mg% — more than four times above the norm. The man was detained and taken into custody, and the circumstances of the incident are being investigated by traffic police.
