In Limassol, a woman was detained for eight days on suspicion of premeditated murder
The Limassol District Court in Cyprus placed a 26-year-old woman in custody for eight days on suspicion of premeditated murder of a 31-year-old man from the Philippines.
The man was found injured on Sunday afternoon near the residential building where he lived. Initially, the incident was considered an accident.
The direction of the investigation changed after a forensic examination. The autopsy established that the cause of death was hemorrhagic shock, and penetrating injuries were found in the abdominal area.
The suspect denies involvement and claims that after an argument, the man tried to enter the apartment via the balcony and fell. The police continue to investigate.
Further procedural actions and results of the examinations have not been reported. Local law enforcement authorities are conducting all necessary investigative measures within the framework of the ongoing case.
