Explosion near the home of a Russian citizen in Limassol: police are considering a possible chain of crimes

Last night in the Ayios Tychonas area of Limassol, an explosion occurred near the home of a 39-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation. Police received a report of a loud noise at around 01:30, after which an investigative team arrived at the scene.
Law enforcement officers discovered remnants of an improvised explosive device that used a flammable liquid. Pyrotechnics specialists and experts are working at the site, assessing the nature of the explosive device and its possible construction.
According to police, the homeowner has already given testimony to investigators. Law enforcement does not rule out that this explosion may be connected to another recent incident — attempted explosions at a pub and a café in the Zakaki area, which is also under investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are working to establish all the circumstances and possible links between these crimes.
