Another Food Delivery Courier Assaulted in Limassol
In Limassol, another attack on a food delivery courier has taken place, with the victim being a 28-year-old Indian national.
According to the police press office, the assault occurred the previous night around 10:30 PM. The victim reported to the police that while riding his motorbike, he was pursued by two other motorbikes, each carrying two passengers. When they caught up with him, the pursuers began kicking him, causing him to fall. They then attacked him with baseball bats. The victim managed to escape by taking refuge in a nearby kiosk.
Police arrived at the scene and detained three suspects: two aged 21 and one aged 33. The suspects were brought to the police station, where the victim identified two of them as his attackers. The suspects have been arrested and are currently in custody.
This is not the first assault on food couriers in Limassol. The latest incident before this occurred on October 16. Police have confirmed that a total of 10 people have been arrested in connection with similar attacks during the first two and a half weeks of October.
