Nearly 12 Kilograms of Drugs Seized in Paphos
Authorities in Paphos have seized a large quantity of drugs, leading to the arrest of a 56-year-old man on suspicion of drug possession and trafficking. The operation was carried out by the National Drug Enforcement Agency.
According to a police statement, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (ANS) stopped the suspect’s vehicle for inspection. A search of the car revealed 16 packages of cannabis, two packages of a white powder suspected to be cocaine, and precision scales. The driver was arrested on the spot and taken into custody.
Later, armed with a court warrant, officers searched the suspect’s residence, where they found another package of marijuana.
In total, police confiscated 10.9 kilograms of cannabis and 942 grams of cocaine. The Paphos Drug Enforcement Unit (YKAN) is continuing its investigation.
