Partners of Germany’s tourism industry met in Paphos: 250 participants attended

An industry event took place in Paphos with the participation of 250 representatives of the German tourism market — partners of the Alfa Reisen travel agency network. According to the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, participants included representatives of airlines, travel agents, and tour operators.
The ministry noted that such events help strengthen tourist flows from key countries, including Germany, and are important not only for the summer season but also for attracting visitors in winter.
Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis emphasized that the German market remains one of Cyprus’s priority markets — both in terms of volume and tourist profile. According to him, it is particularly significant that around 80% of conference participants visited the island for the first time, allowing them to personally familiarize themselves with the destination they will later promote.
Koumis also recalled that the day before, data from the statistical service were published: Cyprus recorded a historic result from Germany — more than 250,000 arrivals, for the first time in 28 years.
