Dangerous condition of residential buildings recorded in Paphos
In Paphos, the condition of a number of apartment buildings is causing concern, with visible signs of severe wear and insufficient maintenance.
According to local residents, there are cracks in the walls, peeling plaster, and high humidity in the buildings, and in some places, exposed reinforcement is already visible on the balconies.
According to eyewitnesses, in some cases pieces of plaster fall from the facades, which may pose a danger to passers-by.
Photos of the problematic properties were sent to the media following the recent tragedy in Germasogeia, which increased attention to the state of the housing stock on the island.
