19-Year-Old Girl Killed, Three Injured in Traffic Accident Near Limassol
A fatal accident occurred overnight in the village of Sotira, located in the Limassol district. As a result of the crash, a 19-year-old girl lost her life, while three other people were injured, one of whom is in critical condition.
The accident happened around 01:30 on Ayia Thekla Caddesi.
A 19-year-old young man was behind the wheel. The car also carried passengers: a 20-year-old man in the front seat and two 19-year-old girls in the back.
According to preliminary data, the vehicle lost control for an unknown reason and struck a concrete wall of a water tank on the side of the road.
The driver and the front-seat passenger were taken to Famagusta Hospital and later transferred to a medical facility in Larnaca for further examination.
One of the girls in the back seat died at the scene. The second was hospitalized in Nicosia, where her condition is reported as serious.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
