Since launching operations in Cyprus, the popular Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air has transported 8 million passengers to and from Larnaca Airport.
To celebrate this milestone, a company representative presented a travel voucher to the 8 millionth passenger.
According to the Wizz Air Corporate Communications Manager, reaching 8 million passengers at Larnaca International Airport is a significant achievement for the airline, reflecting "passenger trust.”
“This achievement underscores Wizz Air's unwavering commitment to providing affordable and high-quality travel. We are grateful for the continuous support from the Cypriot market and strive to offer the lowest fares, a wide selection of routes, and exceptional travel experiences, adapting to our customers' changing needs,” the airline representative added.
To meet growing demand, the airline continues to expand its route network from Larnaca International Airport, including increasing the number of flights for this year's summer and autumn seasons.
“We are pleased that our successful collaboration has also led to the further development of the company through recently announced routes,” noted the Director of Aviation Development, Marketing, and Communications of Hermes Airports, the operator of Cyprus airports.
