Homemade Bomb Explodes Outside Residential Building in Limassol
Early this morning, a homemade explosive device detonated outside a residential building in Limassol, startling the otherwise quiet neighborhood.

The explosion occurred at approximately 3 a.m. near the entrance of the apartment building, which belongs to a 34-year-old woman, according to police. The blast caused significant damage, shattering the front door and damaging nearby furniture. While the financial cost of the damage is yet to be determined, it has been described as relatively minor.
Thankfully, no one was injured, as the building was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
Police officers, criminal investigators, and a bomb disposal expert rushed to the scene to assess the situation. Preliminary investigations revealed that the explosion was triggered by a homemade bomb placed on the floor near the metal front door.
The area remains cordoned off and under police surveillance as the investigation continues to uncover further details.
