The second ship with humanitarian aid to Gaza will depart from Cyprus on Saturday
The second ship, tasked with delivering humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, named "Jennifer," is expected to set sail by the end of the week, most likely on Saturday, weather permitting, according to a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Theodoros Gotsis, as reported by the "Cyprus Mail" newspaper.
It is expected that the ship carrying humanitarian aid will be at sea for approximately three days, as it will also deliver a platform that the Open Arms ship brought back to the port of Larnaca from the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, it is expected that the Open Arms ship and the auxiliary vessel will accompany the "Jennifer" to transport equipment and medicines.
The aim is for the platform, which was returned to Larnaca for repairs, to remain in the Gaza Strip, thereby reducing the duration of future voyages of ships to the Gaza Strip.
Both ships, Open Arms, which completed the first mission to transport humanitarian aid to Gaza through the port of Larnaca two weeks ago, and Jennifer, are part of missions organized by the non-governmental organization World Central Kitchen.
