Prisoners in Cyprus Allowed Additional Family Visits Over Easter
Inmates at central prisons in Cyprus will be granted an additional family visit during the Easter holidays. This initiative is aimed at fostering stronger family connections during the festive period.
The Department of Prisons has confirmed that prisoners who wish to receive an extra visit can do so without the need for standard approval. However, visitors must present a valid ID or passport upon entering the facility.
Extra visiting hours will be available on Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Each visit will be limited to 30 minutes.
Family members who wish to schedule a visit are encouraged to contact the prison administration in advance at 22406257 or 22406258.
The prison administration also clarified that no clothing deliveries will be accepted on these dates, except for newly admitted prisoners arriving on April 17.
This temporary measure is part of broader efforts to support inmates' well-being and maintain family bonds, particularly during significant religious holidays.
