Limassol Man Arrested After Police Discover 188 Barrels of Diesel at His Home
A 49-year-old man has been arrested in Limassol after police uncovered 188 barrels of diesel fuel stored at his property.
According to a statement from the police, the search was carried out in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug possession and trafficking. Officers raided the suspect’s home in the Germasogeia area, a suburb of Limassol.
But instead of finding drugs, police discovered a large stockpile of diesel fuel—188 barrels in total, with capacities of 20 and 30 liters each.
The man was reportedly unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for the source of the fuel and was taken into custody. Authorities have launched a separate investigation to determine whether the diesel was obtained or stored illegally.
