Lefke ecologists remind of smoking ban and warn about environmental risks

The environmental association Lefke Çevre ve Ekoloji Derneği issued a warning about the need to strictly observe the smoking ban in certain areas, especially in natural and public spaces.
The organization emphasized that discarded cigarette butts cause serious harm to the ecosystem, pollute soil and water, and pose a real fire risk, particularly during drought conditions. Ecologists urged residents and visitors to act responsibly and comply with the existing rules.
The association reminded that violating the ban may result in administrative sanctions.
