Three New Ambulances Delivered to Nicosia State Hospital
Three new ambulances have been donated to Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital. These vehicles were generously provided to the Ministry of Health by philanthropic businessmen for use by Emergency Service No. 112.
The handover ceremony took place on September 19 and was attended by TRNC President Ersin Tatar, Health Minister Hakan Dinççürek, members of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO) Board of Directors, as well as Ministry of Health officials and hospital staff.
Two of the ambulances were donated by Mucip Iqbal, the owner of the “Chinese Bazaar,” and the third was provided by the Chamber of Commerce.
KTTO President Turgay Deniz emphasized that the chamber is committed to advancing the economic welfare of Turkish Cypriots and is proud to contribute an ambulance as part of its social responsibility. He also highlighted that the Ministry of Health still needs 15 more ambulances and urged business leaders to collaborate on this issue.
The Health Minister expressed his gratitude to the donors and announced that an additional five new ambulances would be delivered to the Ministry within the next two months. The increased number of ambulances is expected to significantly reduce the response time for the 112 emergency service.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of commemorative plaques to the donors.
