On the Tatlısu – Geçitkale road, a car went off into a riverbed
In the morning around 07:50, a traffic accident occurred on the Tatlısu – Geçitkale road.
According to police, a 46-year-old female driver (R.Y.), driving a car with registration number UD 167, was heading towards Geçitkale. On a section of the road known as “Virajlar Mevkii,” the driver lost control of the vehicle due to negligence.
The car veered off the road and fell into a riverbed from a height of about two meters.
As a result of the accident, the driver and a passenger (G.D.) were injured. The victims were taken by ambulance crews to the Famagusta State Hospital, where, after receiving first aid, they remained under medical observation.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
