Nikos Christodoulides announced the launch of the "Minds in Cyprus" digital platform
President of Southern Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides announced the activation of the second part of the "Minds in Cyprus" initiative — a digital platform designed to attract professionals working abroad back to the island. The launch was announced on social media; the newspaper Haravgi also reported on it.
The platform, hosted under the Ministry of Labour, includes a new module called "Opportunities for Talent." According to the president, the service provides registered users with information on current vacancies and personalized suggestions matching their profile and registration status. The initiative was first announced in May and now receives a digital continuation.
What this means for residents of Northern Cyprus: the resource is aimed at those considering returning to the Republic of Cyprus and seeking employment — the platform can be used to monitor vacancies and register a profile. Details on specific programs for returnees, financial compensation, or quotas are not provided in the announcement. According to the president, information on opportunities and participation conditions can be obtained directly on the portal.
