TRNC Parliament to consider changes to agreement with Turkey and judicial reform
Today, a regular meeting of the General Assembly of Parliament will be held, during which deputies will consider a number of key legislative initiatives.
The 41st session is expected to begin at 10:00 under the chairmanship of Speaker Ziya Öztürkler.
The agenda includes a bill on the ratification of the agreement between the TRNC and Turkey on the mutual recognition and exchange of national driving licenses. The document is aimed at simplifying procedures for citizens of both sides.
In addition, parliamentarians will discuss the report of the audit committee of the TRNC Court of Accounts on compliance with legislation in state agricultural enterprises.
The meeting also plans a third reading of the bill on amendments to the legislation on courts. The discussion is expected to touch upon increasing the efficiency of the judicial system.
The upcoming meeting is seen as an important stage in the implementation of the legislative agenda aimed at developing the legal and administrative system.
