Two drunken fights occurred in Northern Cyprus last night. Police detained participants of the scuffles near hotels in İskele and Bafra.
The first fight involving intoxicated citizens took place around 23:30 in front of a hotel operating in Bahçeli. Disorderly conduct was initiated by two intoxicated men aged 32 and 38, who argued with a local security guard and beat him. The aggressive individuals grabbed the 46-year-old victim by the throat, struck him in various parts of the body, and also shouted loudly and cursed.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police detained both troublemakers. Details about the detained hooligans are not provided.
The second incident occurred an hour later, around 00:30, at one of the hotels in İskele. According to the police press service, a conflict arose between two groups of hotel guests. During the argument, four intoxicated men engaged in a verbal dispute, which gradually escalated into a mass brawl. The arriving police detained four brawlers - two of them are 30 years old, and the other two are 38 and 54.
The police are investigating what exactly the intoxicated troublemakers disagreed on.
Participants in both fights have been arrested, and investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
