Two New Year’s Markets to Light Up Girne This December
Girne Municipality is kicking off its New Year celebrations with two vibrant events: the "New Year’s Market" and the "9th Kyrenia Bazaar Festival." Both events will run simultaneously on December 21 and 22 at Ramadan Cemil Square and Ziya Rızkı Street.
According to the municipality, these festive markets will feature stalls showcasing works by both local and international artists, along with a variety of souvenir shops that promise to immerse visitors in the unique charm of Northern Cyprus.
The "New Year’s Market" will open on Saturday, December 21, at 10:00 AM. At 11:00 AM, the Girne Municipality Children and Youth Choir will take the stage, followed by a special New Year’s workshop designed for kids.
Visitors can look forward to a packed program that includes live performances by local artists, fun competitions, dance shows, and even a visit from Santa Claus, who will be handing out gifts.
Meanwhile, the "9th Kyrenia Bazaar Festival" will transform Ziya Rızkı Street into a hub of activity on December 21 and 22, from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM. Across two festive days, visitors will enjoy performances by renowned artists on four stages spread throughout the bustling bazaar streets.
