Six suspects arrested in İskele and Lefkoşa over thefts from construction sites
According to the police press service, on December 11, 2025, at around 23:00, the lock of a warehouse belonging to a construction company in İskele, Northern Cyprus, was broken into and various construction materials and tools were stolen.
During the investigation, police identified and arrested five suspects: Y.B. (m, 30), O.B. (m, 32), E.B. (m, 32), M.B. (m, 18) and M.B. (m, 35).
Further checks revealed that the same individuals had also stolen a power saw, a drill and a laser ceramic cutter from the ground floor of an apartment building under construction in Lefkoşa, Northern Cyprus.
In addition, police in Girne, Northern Cyprus, established that M.I. (m, 41) had purchased four cordless drills and an impact drilling tool at a price below market value; according to police, these tools are linked to the investigated thefts. M.I. was also arrested.
Police continue the investigation and are clarifying all the circumstances of the incidents.
