The Second Week of the Budget Marathon Begins in the TRNC Parliament
In Northern Cyprus, the budget marathon of the Republic's General Assembly continues. The discussion started on Monday, December 11, and will conclude on the 22nd.
The General Assembly will discuss the draft budget of the Central State Administration for the 2024 fiscal year.
Today, as part of the Parliament session, budgets for the Commission of Public Service, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the affiliated Turkish Agency - Cyprus, will be discussed.
As part of the second week's budget negotiations program, on Tuesday, December 19, budgets for the Legal Department, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Ministry of Economy and Energy will be discussed; on Wednesday, December 20, the budgets of the Audit Office, the Ministry of National Education, and on Thursday, December 21, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
On Friday, December 22, the budget of the Ministry of Finance will be discussed. On the same day, a vote on the income budget and the entire bill will take place.
The bill on the budget of the Central State Administration for the year 2024 envisages expenditures of 78 billion 717 million TL and revenues of 71 billion 932 million TL.
