The 10-day budget marathon kicks off in the TRNC Parliament
The General Assembly of the TRNC begins the consideration of the budget for the year 2024 today. The Parliament will convene continuously on weekdays for 10 days.
The draft law on the budget of the Central State Administration for the year 2024 includes expenditures amounting to 78 billion 717 million Turkish liras and revenues of 71 billion 932 million Turkish liras.
The discussion of the entire budget draft, approved by the Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning with the majority of votes, will start in the Republic Assembly today at 10:00. The budget process will conclude on December 22.
The discussion will commence with the report from the Minister of Finance, Ozdemir Berova. After completing the overall report discussions, the draft law will be discussed item by item.
In addition to ministerial budgets, the budgets of institutions and organizations under the ministries will also be discussed.
