Dairy Plant Sealed in Değirmenlik Area Following Inspection

The Değirmenlik-Akıncılar Municipality reported on the results of inspections of food and service industry enterprises. During the inspections, one dairy plant was sealed for violations of sanitary standards.
According to the municipal health department, in February 2026, inspectors checked 76 facilities, including:
- 24 restaurants
- 12 bakeries
- 10 shops
- 9 dairy factories
- 9 food warehouses
- 7 beauty salons and barbershops
- 2 meat processing plants
- 1 butcher shop
- 1 educational center
- 1 hotel.
During the checks, 78 food products and 36 cosmetic items that did not meet sanitary requirements were seized. Specialists also issued 244 sanitary referrals for examination and conducted 225 sanitary sealing procedures.
Additionally, one shop and one bakery were fined an amount equal to the minimum wage for operating in violation of the law.
The municipality emphasized that inspections will continue regularly to protect public health.
