Forgotten Suitcase Triggers Panic on Dereboyu Street in Nicosia
Last night in Nicosia, police were alerted due to a forgotten suitcase that had been left behind. Bomb disposal experts were called to the scene to assess the suspicious object.
According to the police press office, the suitcase, abandoned on the side of the main pedestrian street in the Pronto Cemberi area of Nicosia, sparked panic among local residents. The alert was received by law enforcement around 7:30 PM. Police units were immediately dispatched to take necessary safety precautions.
Upon examination of the suitcase by the bomb disposal team, no suspicious items were found. It contained various clothing and personal belongings.
