Christodoulides announced a series of projects for Evrychou in Cyprus
On November 8, 2025, President Nikos Christodoulides announced a package of infrastructure and social projects for the Evrychou area in Cyprus.
Among the announced measures are the construction of a covered school hall and the replacement of playground flooring at a cost of €20,000. The President also stated that additional funds will be allocated for road repairs: the government will provide the Provincial Administration of Nicosia with another €500,000 for repairing eight kilometers of roads.
Funding is also planned for a new 24-hour adult care facility, with €500,000 to be allocated at the request of the “Solea” Multi-Purpose Center. To address water losses, the government decided to allocate €3,000,000 over three years to communities outside the EOA system.
In the healthcare sector, the working capacity of the Evrychou health center has been strengthened: additional nurses have been appointed, pediatric and dental services have been added, and plans are underway to attract new specialists. To promote employment and agricultural development, support measures worth €10,000,000 were announced, along with the creation of an industrial-craft zone in the Solea region.
According to the President, these initiatives aim to improve education, transportation, water supply, healthcare, and employment opportunities in the region.
