Limassol police strengthen protection for a businessman after a second arson attack

The Limassol Police (TAE) reported that they are taking measures to protect a 40-year-old entrepreneur and his property after his business was once again targeted by arsonists.
The head of Limassol TAE, Kostas Michail, stated that the police conducted a risk assessment and introduced specific security measures: patrols have been reinforced, and the businessman’s home and businesses will be regularly monitored and checked.
The arson in question occurred early in the morning: an unknown individual set fire to the entrance of a wine shop (cava) belonging to the entrepreneur. According to Michail, investigators continue to collect evidence and hope this will help identify the perpetrator.
Police emphasize that this is the second such incident. Earlier, on November 26, unknown persons burned four expensive cars belonging to the same businessman.
Limassol TAE is also examining possible motives for the attacks, given that the affected entrepreneur was previously a close associate of Stavros Demosfhenous, who was killed on October 17.
