In Athens, a woman fell twice from a fourth-floor balcony
An unusual and disturbing incident occurred Sunday evening in the Marousi district of Athens, where a 27-year-old woman fell twice from the balcony of a fourth-floor apartment.
According to police information, the woman, a native of Ukraine, first fell under unclear circumstances from the balcony of an apartment on Agrafon Street, where she lived with her 29-year-old husband, a Russian citizen. After the fall, she landed on the balcony of the apartment one floor below.
Later, the woman returned to her apartment, and her husband called a private ambulance. However, after some time, she fell from the balcony again — this time onto the apartment building's parking lot.
The victim sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital, where she underwent surgery.
Police detained her 29-year-old husband on suspicion of domestic violence. Additionally, a 65-year-old woman living in the third-floor apartment, onto whose balcony the victim fell during the first incident, was also taken to the police station.
The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
