New Bus Route to Connect Mountainous Areas of Nicosia
A new bus route will link the Tamasos area with Nicosia General Hospital and the University of Cyprus.
The agreement to launch this route was made between the public transport contractor of Nicosia and the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Works.
The route will start at the Tamasos transfer station, travel along the new regional highway, bypassing Nicosia Hospital, and end at the University of Cyprus. This will provide residents in the mountain areas with direct and quick access to key city locations—without needing to change buses.
The service will operate daily from 06:00 to 16:00, with eight trips each day (four in each direction).
The route is expected to begin in early May. It has been designed to minimize stops, ensuring passengers enjoy a comfortable and efficient journey. If demand increases, the transport company will consider adding more trips.
