17-Year-Old Arrested in Larnaca Over Major Burglary Case
A seventeen-year-old suspect appeared before the Larnaca District Court in connection with a burglary in the Kornos area, where €72,950 and two hunting shotguns were stolen. The court ordered the minor to be remanded in custody for seven days. The hearing was held behind closed doors.
According to police, during interrogation, the teenager admitted his involvement in the crime and named two alleged accomplices who are currently wanted. He stated that following the theft, the money and weapons were buried on a farm in the Aradippou area. At the specified location, law enforcement officers discovered the two shotguns and a safe containing the stolen cash, which were subsequently seized.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are searching for two more suspects, as well as a vehicle and a metal gun cabinet that has not yet been located. Further investigative actions and forensic examinations are being conducted.
