In Larnaca, firefighters rescued a 19-year-old driver who became trapped in his car after an accident
The incident occurred in Larnaca when a 19-year-old driver crashed his vehicle into a road barrier, leaving him trapped inside. Firefighters were called to the scene to assist in freeing the young man.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday evening around 10:00 PM. The driver lost control of his vehicle, resulting in the collision with the barrier.
Emergency responders utilized hydraulic rescue equipment to extract the young man from the vehicle. He was then transferred to Larnaca Hospital by ambulance. Medical assessments revealed multiple fractures, including ribs and nose fractures. He remains hospitalized for further treatment.
An investigation into the causes of the accident is underway. The driver underwent an alcohol test, which indicated he was sober at the time of the incident.
It's worth noting that the fire department responded to a total of 26 calls over the past day, including 15 fires and 11 other incidents.
