Attempted Murder During Car Sale in Larnaca
Cypriot police are investigating an attempted murder case in Kornos (Larnaca), where one individual sustained serious injuries following a shooting.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred around 2:00 PM in an open area in Kornos. The victim, a 30-year-old man, had arranged to meet with several individuals, whose identities remain unknown, to discuss the sale of a car.
During the meeting, four men exited a vehicle, one of whom was armed with a gun. The victim attempted to escape in his car but collided with another vehicle. As he drove away, several shots were fired at him.
Despite suffering serious injuries, the man managed to make his way to a private clinic in Limassol. He is currently in critical condition, with doctors reporting injuries to his hand and right shoulder blade.
The Larnaca Investigation Department is handling the case.
Later that evening, an arrest warrant was issued for a 21-year-old foreign national in connection with the shooting.
