Man arrested in Limassol over abuse of a minor
A serious case involving the abuse of a minor is being investigated in Limassol.
According to police, a 14-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in November 2025, where it was discovered that she was in an advanced stage of pregnancy. Doctors delivered the baby, after which the authorities were notified.
The girl was referred to a specialized child protection center, where she disclosed the incident during interviews. According to her, a male acquaintance took her to a secluded location, after which she cannot remember the events.
After taking her testimony, police arrested a 21-year-old suspect. The court ordered him into pre-trial detention for five days.
The investigation is ongoing.
