Man arrested in Nicosia after breaking into house at night
Nicosia police have detained a 45-year-old man discovered inside a residential property during an investigation into a reported break-in.
Information regarding suspicious activity reached the police around 1:00 AM. Arriving officers, accompanied by the building manager, entered the premises to investigate.
During the inspection of one of the rooms, they discovered the man, who was subsequently arrested for illegal entry.
A search of the suspect revealed tools commonly used in burglaries, as well as other items for which he could not provide a legitimate explanation of origin.
The man remains in custody. The investigation is being handled by the Nicosia Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
