Disruptions warned for Android Smart Parking in Paphos
The Municipality of Paphos has announced temporary difficulties in the operation of the Pafos Smart Parking application for users of Android devices. The restrictions will take effect on Monday, May 18, and are due to a scheduled platform update.
According to the municipality, payment for parking via the app may experience issues during the update period. Meanwhile, users of iOS devices will be able to continue using the service without any restrictions.
Alternative payment methods have been proposed for Android owners. The authorities recommend paying via SMS, the PafosNow app, or the special payment terminals installed in the city's parking lots.
Special attention is given to seasonal parking permit holders using Android devices. No alternative method for using such permits will be available during the update. Despite this, the municipality assured that subscribers will be able to continue parking as normal.
In the event of receiving a parking violation notice, active permit holders must send an email to the municipality, specifying the notice number and the vehicle registration number, so that corrections can be made.
The Paphos authorities apologized for any convenience caused and emphasized that they are working actively to complete the update as soon as possible and restore stable operation of the application.
